Aaaand more stuff breaking in v0. Fuck, I'm like 99% done, have some images to fix on page nr 5, just ran out of credits today after using ONE prompt (please note that it's just a funnel, I need static pages that convert, not complicated app etc), got pissed and inspired to download it all and convert to static and just upload it to my normal shared host and now I read this. I'm clicking download like... Now. I'm still shocked how much slower I work with AI vs no AI.

I told you about this scam operation...

They don't want you to get rich.

Haha, you can engineer static site generator in another language. And optimize it for conversion which is the business part (A/B testing). The site doesn't have to look like work of art, it only has to serve purpose in your operation. You can always replace it. Time? You can't get it back.

I optimize for freedom and simplicity.

KYP / KYV - know your priorities, know your values. Don't enter minefields, be aware of them. Vercel and Cloudflare are minefields. Node.js is too.

Better go Python / PHP. Avoid frameworks... they increase complexity.

That post is from a year ago. Given that v0 opened for general use only 2 years ago (in 2024), that post was created when the product was in its infancy. Barely a year into public launch.

The core idea behind it was to allow a collaborative shared entity without living inside local dev environments, full git integration wasn't introduced until then.

This problem was and has been solved.

Connect your GitHub account and you're done. Every new chat opens a new branch in you git immediately. So no chance of you losing your work. And rolling back is pretty easy too.

Additionally, you can connect existing repos to v0 to continue working on them on v0

They also introduced diff mode, so complaints like "v0 randomly overwrote code" are resolved and you can actually see what changes were made.

Yeah... isn't it just collaborative tool? I think it isn't well suited for people who don't do teamwork.

Point is AI is a new paradigm. You have to learn it like paradigm of programming. This isn't basic skill you can learn overnight. Same with crypto and other things that pop up... VR maybe? I need to learn it.

Don't just depend on natural language. Vibe coding isn't the best tool, unless you customize it and understand most code. I used it and got 80 files program instead of 10 files. Nonsense.

Yes, I know it's 1 year old post, so it's actually *more* surprising that v0 is still very buggy, even if I'm experiencing different issues than this specific one. There's more posts like these. My point being is that it's buggy af when I try to use it and I work super slow with it rather than faster and when I start to google around there's tons of people complaining about interface randomly not working, whole thing being unstable (not saving your work surely fits into being unstable), all kinds of stuff like that... Nevertheless thanks for pointing out what exact issue was in this thread and that it's resolved. I'd hope so after a year 😂... Still 10 more other issues appearing daily.

Fine enough, but point is that when you try to run a small business usually you aren't paid for being dev / technical, you're paid for what your business is selling so you just want to get site (and other things) up as fast and as cheap as possible. This is something different than bh hacking or being hired in a technical role (in software house, etc). This fails completely on this front - I'm less efficient and would have to pay more (the monthly prices on this are silly, you can get your site up with wordpress very cheaply and with one-time payment + yearly hosting). This is separate from a hobby, I just want the money eh (but topic is fun still so it's not all boring this time).

"it's not for you"
"you don't need it"
I recall these phrases every single day. I have many things that I could pick up, but I just say "no" - like splishsplash said.

Business is not separate from us. I see what is in us, we put into our business. So we shall change / tune ourselves a little bit.

If there's stress and anxiety in us, we make worse decisions. Stress can be chronic and be cause of failure. People make wrong decisions for years because when you feel negative, you lose your ability to make correct decisions.

I have shifted my perspective. I am attempting to have interesting lifestyle and feel like I'm in a beautiful place, not have a business and help people for money.

The typical metric is return on investment. But if I do things certain way that fits my values, I think of return on enjoyment, return on passion and return on lifestyle improvement. It just makes me happy. I feel the serotonin. Cortisol tax I pay is close to zero.

what does that site look like right now?

Site? My site? Her app?

I'm not showing you my site, it's not faceless 😂.
Indeed, if your site becomes indexed by google, it'd be enough to google search words and find your face...

Greg on BHW didn't fear showing his face.

I'm wondering how many people on BHW didn't show their real face, but fake one. :P

@Rem feels my pain, she has a whole thread documenting her pathological relationship with Chatgpt 😂
been using cursor & claude
haven't had as much issues with it, or rather rarely
it understand context alot better and is highly less retarded.
Vercel on the other fucking hand, had to rotate secrets all last weekend
cuz of the shit it did.
already on my to-do list for migrating my sites out of that place, that's twice in 1 fucking year already.

Thanks, that's actually informative! So Cursor = good, then?

It's paid and free tier quickly ended for me.

I used amazon Q + Claude Sonnet in VSC.

Most code produced by agentic AI like this is rubbish.

So I use it to write one liners without syntactical sugar.

I don't code websites automatically, they're mostly text and images, so what to code...
I avoid complexity. :P

yes cursor i found to be very good
as long as you set the rules, hooks and mcps clearly
Have you tried antigravity out powered by MCPs? EmDash will change your life once you figure out how to hook everything up

I've been messing with Roblox, next, Astro, the whole lot...

Have even had luck messing with local WP sites with Antigravity

Did you write a game for Roblox in Next.js? :D
What did you actually accomplish thanks to Astro, Next that you wouldn't be able to achieve without it?

Oh wow.. glad I seen this fuck!

My turn to create swiss army knife for something like your Solana toolset. Thank you for inspiration. This business model is hellishly easy to implement compared to what gurus are selling us. 🤗

Adult, gaming... marketing? All within one tool... I don't know. :D

Of course I'll use plain PHP + JS and HTML. :ROFLMAO:

I failed to deliver 4 products in react, laravel. And I know why. It's too much for solopreneur, visionary and of course... crazy person!

DX, CX, UX are a lot better for plain programming languages, but only if you know how to code on all levels (someone like me). Proof? Original poster.
