I always find Akon's music funny because his whole gig is around being a "convict". All his albums, his artist name, his song name, everything is about being locked up.

The thing is, prior to 2025, he was only ever convicted once for a gun charge, which got him 3 years probation; he served no jail time.

He did get locked up in 2025 for a whole 6 hours for a failure to appear in court after driving on a suspended license.

All right, so I was going through my music library and I found this one my father really liked.

I found out today there's a "clean" version of this song. You might be wondering how the hell they did a clean version of the song, and all I can say is that C-Murder sounds like he was neutered in this version.

I love that he's talking about drive-bys. That's okay, I guess...?
