When you created your account, you may have noticed there are "Credits" right next to your profile.

This is a system used on Office Outlaw mostly just for fun, but it can be used mostly for whatever you want to use it for.

One thing to be aware of is that credits cannot be purchased with real money nor can they be exchanged for real money. So, whilst you can use them for transfers or exchange them for goods and services, there's no way to "cash out".

How Are Credits Earned?
Credits are earned by the following actions:
  • By receiving trophies. 1 credit per trophy until we can work out how to increase that number.
  • By receiving reactions. Each reaction gets you 1 credit.
Over time, we'll be adding more ways to earn credits.

Donating Credits To Other Members
You're able to give other members credits. You can use this for any reason, including gift giving or transactions if you choose to do so.
Click the "Credits" option on someone's profile and you'll see a "Donate" button. If you donate 10 credits, it charges you 1 credit because of the tax, so you lose 11 credits and they get 10.

Charging Others To View Content
You can use the BBCode below to put content behind a credits paywall (replace 'X' with the number of credits you wish to charge). This means that users will have to spend credits to view the content. Any credits spent to view this content you posted will be received by you.
Code:
[charge=X]Your content here[/charge]
Bear in mind that rules still apply, so do not put anything that violates our rules behind this paywall. Admins and moderators can still see the content without paying as well.

What Can Credits Be Spent On?
Aside from viewing content between the "charge" code tag, credits can also be spent on cosmetics on the Upgrades page.

Currently, we only have the "Hot Rod" badge, which costs $10 (1000 credits). Note that whilst a dollar amount is displayed, you can currently only purchase this with credits. Yeah, I know, annoying, but we can't change that yet.
