Sometimes members just don't get along. It happens in every community, and it’s completely normal that not every personality clicks.
If someone is harassing or abusing you, please report it -- we take that seriously. But we also recognise that people have different definitions of what counts as abuse. Friendly jokes, light-hearted teasing, and a bit of banter between members is still perfectly okay. We're not trying to be overly strict or create a "no-fun-allowed" environment.
Our definition of what is considered member abuse is outlined in our Sitewide Rules thread already, here:
So if someone is simply being rude or calling you an idiot, no, we won’t issue them a warning for that. But that doesn't mean you have to put up with seeing it either.
If you decide you've had enough of seeing someone's posts, you can visit their profile and click the "Ignore" button.
If you had a DM conversation with that member before you ignored them, you'll still see the conversation thread itself, but any new messages from them inside it will be hidden. If you'd prefer not to see that conversation thread at all, you’ll need to leave it completely.
If at any point you decide to undo this and see the member’s content again, simply head to your account settings and find your Ignore List. From there, you can easily remove them. Once they're removed from your ignore list, their posts will reappear for you—but any messages they sent during the time you had them ignored will remain hidden and won’t show up retroactively.

Abusing a member through excessive trolling or commentary regarding their race, age, gender, etc is prohibited.
To define this further, arguments are not considered member abuse. "You're stupid" types of comments are not prohibited, just discouraged.

The Ignore Feature
After ignoring a member, all their posts and threads become hidden from your view. Any direct messages they send you after this point will also be invisible, meaning you won’t even know they’ve messaged you.If you had a DM conversation with that member before you ignored them, you'll still see the conversation thread itself, but any new messages from them inside it will be hidden.
