I’ve mentioned before that Z and I have a lot of pets, but I just wanted to share this picture of my bearded dragon Phil.

Phil (who is probably a girl btw, I thought she was a boy when I named her) is very picky when it comes to her toilet time. She refuses to go inside of her enclosure, and will scratch at the glass to be let out when she needs to go.

Every couple of days or so, I have to get a little dish ready - one that I don’t use for food obviously - and fill it with warm water. Then I need to let her sit in it for a few minutes, sometimes ten, until she decides to go. And then I dry her off with a paper towel and put her back in her enclosure. That’s the way it has to be done. She will not do it any other way.

Does anyone else have a weird routine like this for a picky pet? Or is Phil the only spoiled princess here? 😁

Nice.. This reminds me a Little dragon that strucks inside our Lab some months ago..

Its little one, but long sharp tail ..
I don't know how to handle that, when I go close it suddenly jumps and move then like statue..

It was there for few weeks and don't really know how to make such creature as our pets.. the dragon disappeared after staying for week inside the single room ;)

Wondering, how you handle this pet ?

It's kind of complicated. She's mostly quite friendly and easy to handle, except shet is picky about how she is picked up and needs to feel like she's supported properly. She also has sharp nails that can scratch me if I'm not careful.

I'm not sure about wild reptiles though, that is a different matter entirely. I'd probably wear gloves and be careful if I had to pick up a wild dragon.

...typical forum problem.

Damn, she's so clean! Nice.
why is she in an oven pot lol
Yeah, right?
The dish was a gift from an in-law (kind of). Shows what I think of them. :ROFLMAO:
Heheheheheh.

Yeah it's always fascinating but also confusing with 'weird' pets like these... How to understand them?

To understand them, we need to observe their body language, but it's already a pretty small body .. lol

Its hard to understand these wired pets body language, communication style, behaviour and all. .. IMAO 🤔

I am beeta fish lover, so I have various beeta collections at home. This breed is easy to maintain, so the only daily routine is feeding a couple of pellets a day.
