Been trying to get a project going for years but i keep struggling to find the motivation to really start it.

it's like everytime I wannt to start it something gets in the way. money, gf, parents or always something.

How did you guys do it??
 
Set yourself a time when you are actually working on the project, and do not let distractions get to you. If you have to, lock your door and put your phone on sleep mode. Starting is always the hardest, but once you are in the flow of the work it will get easier.

Setting your phone to do not disturb is absolutely blissful.

I would get interrupted by the ding notification sound every 30 mins.

Imagine trying to get into the flow state when you've constantly getting disturbed...

That would actually depend how they are disturbing me
Sometimes that is a nudge saying, "that's not a good idea".

Else, if I really want to start a project, I will start off with a Project Plan which will detail my scope, goals, timeline, task and resources needed to make it happen

See, nobody can change you or your situations..but your own mind can able to make changes..
