How much has the experience expanded on your website development, programming or even just your personal life?

I've been learning about different things server side...

The courses go far enough into hardware, cybersecurity, networking, etc. than I "think" a digital marketing WP developer may need.

Anyone that's ever looked at CompTIA as something that has to be done really, really needs to look here

I completed the CompTIA A+/Net+/Sec+ certs nearly 20 years ago and I found them beneficial at getting my foot in the door starting out as a junior systems & network administrator (without a college degree). I don't know how much weight they have in the job market nowadays but I believe they still give a good foundational baseline in the understanding of computer and network systems if that is the type of field you're looking to work in, from there you can then decide where to specialize (I went down the cisco certified network engineer route).

They won't provide much direct benefit for web development or programming, but skills you learn through those certs can help towards expanding your knowledge in areas such as rolling out your own web servers, email systems, CI/CD pipelines, etc.. which can be beneficial in bootstrapping your own start-ups with full control of your data and minimize expensive overhead from turnkey solutions.

Cool you say that, it's essentially a requirement these days... CompTIA really go into everything.

I was really thinking that as when will I be building my own servers to host websites on... I ended up actually accepting a course in software development, I'm 100% confident it's a smarter use of my time

It was only $50 rather than the $300 for essentially no assistance getting CompTIA done, on-site too!

Digital marketing and word press developer two different worlds?

Get the spanning out and doing different things. I'm pretty old school in thinking your either a developer or your a marketer but that sort of title is a jack of all master of none.

I dont mean to nitpic it just seemed like an od title to me that's all :)

I didn't take the exam. But i almost would have passed if I had taken it. As I was preparing for the exams.

I am referring to N+

This was back in 2011. It was fun days. Networking was a real brain tease and troubleshooting was fun. Mostly worked with VoIP. For a company called Vonage and then Bell UK for a while.

Definitely interesting for tech noobs with no specific sense of direction, but if you’re interested in WP, you’d probably be better off learning php, or better yet scrap wp and learn js and ts for node and deno
