Any idea how to add a contact form for free to Simply Static website?

I saw this didn’t get an answer back in April.

Maybe you can use an HTML backend form?

I know of one called Form Keep, but I’ve never used it myself. I know there are others like that one as well.

CF7 maybe?
You can also document the entries using Flamingo or webhooks to send them to Google Sheets.

IF its a wordpress site, why cant you download the contact form plugin, set it all up in the backend and then just put the shortcde into the page?

Because it will be turned into static html site. Without admin panel, any dynamic elements. I want to build the site locally but upload static version. Simply Static has some workaround for this in pro version but tbh for me the whole point is to send the form somewhere else and not keep it on the server I'm using.

Do you really need a form at all, maybe a contact email is enough? I see a lot of service agency companies that don`t use forms.

Yeah, thought about that too 😂. Just fuck it, no? 😂
If it was not a order form or something special, I would personally fck it and not make it more complicated than it had to be. I guess you will end up in a regular email convo later anyway.

I don't code anymore I dunno why build WordPress to convert to static. That what you doing?

Why not keep the admin or just code in bootstrap first?

Not having a go just trying to understand
