Implemented Sapphire gifting feature?

Seeing as there's all sorts of way to keep a silly goose happy, what about membership giveaways?

We're all giving out free files, free accounts, free support, free hugs, why not make gifted memberships available?

Maybe a help message star saying "membership gifted by {}"

I once tried to gift a Jr VIP to someone and it was a real pain. Had to go through support, etc.. could have been a lot easier to be able to gift it straight from the upgrades page.
If we could make it anonymous as well, even better!

This just a idea maybe something better if allowed.

Someone sends someone else by Paypal whatever the price is then the person buys the account then puts whatever your website or thing you promoting on it?

I think it was done before honestly.
Sometimes it's just nice giving someone something instead of money. And doing so anonymously takes the sig thing out of the equation, too.

Maybe they could create coupan codes when someone buy it for someone a mod team gives the person the code once payment done or next day so staff got enough time to do other stuff
 
@Octavia what if we made all notices say memberships and gifts are non-refundable?

wouldn't that save the chargeback side?

While that is a plausible solution, platforms like PayPal usually does allow chargeback.

Stripe has chargeback protection ( extra feature, but they'll go through a dispute) multiple chargebacks will get you kicked out of the platform.

Same goes for most other payment processors.


Don't forget that people can also claim that their CC were stolen, so you will get those type of chargebacks as well, done through bank disregarding payment processors Protections.

If you really want to do Sapphire gifting do it with crypto, prevents chargbacks which makes Owners unhappy and receive unsatisfied.

Damn, we'd have to lock it to a token... Check the other threads I posted about tokens, you'll definitely find something wrong with them I'd say
 
Interesting idea! I can see if this is possible or difficult to implement and get back to you later. In the meantime, we'll see how many upvotes this suggestion gets. :)

You can do that for sure. You can even donate and leave a message saying you want someone upgraded if that makes things easier.

I figured he was asking for a more official feature, like on the upgrades page.
