See those posts are stupid when posted back to back, highlights a problem though I think.

I could have farmed them out over 6-9-12 months and id probably get real answers with anything thinking about it.

Sharing DOB is harmless and fun enough I guess, just remember what other things you may have posted here, in the other place (if using the same username) data leaks are common and DO happen.

Doesn't take much for someone smart with little time on their hands to go connecting dots.

We take privacy very seriously... Much more seriously than that knock off cheap ass trash called Proton Mail
All our apps are using state of the art e2ee & anonymize on top.
So while we do target ads base on profiles, your actual name and preference ain't tied together.

That thread is why I’m looking for the suggestion @Octavia started about people sharing personal info. I’ve been a little slow to get back to some suggestions, but we really do need something in place before someone starts a thread asking, “What is your Outlaw name? Your Outlaw name is your CC number, the expiration date, and the 3 numbers on the back”

I agree with him.

All it takes is someone to answer a question or not pay enough attention then details can be stolen and put the person at risk.

I am quite into internet security myself.

I’d like to suggest that any questions or threads asking for personal information should be barred. Sharing personal details, even voluntarily, poses a real social engineering risk. Sure, no one is forcing anyone to interact with those threads, but a new member or someone who currently doesn't...
