I want to update the homepage description.

I added in "Office Outlaw is an internet marketing forum focused on disruptive and alternative growth tactics." for now.
Homepage description.webp

But maybe we could come up with something better!

Any suggestions?

I know you tend to go with whatever I type so don't take this as gospel.

Office Outlaw is a cutting-edge internet marketing forum that centers around disruptive, unconventional, and alternative growth tactics. Designed for marketers and entrepreneurs. Community driven forum thriving towards pushing boundaries and accelerating success online.

Has a bit of that American sales flair, bit of general to apply to everyone. Short and sort of does what it says non tin

That sounds good, Zwielicht.

One idea that comes to mind is maybe starting with something like:

Join a community of [X]...' and then follow it with the current line: 'Office Outlaw is an internet marketing forum focused on disruptive and alternative growth tactics.'

Just a thought on making it more inviting from the start :)

How about something that could also benefit SEO? Since this would be on the homepage, it would carry significant “juice” power. Just an idea:
Office Outlaw is a marketing forum for disruptive strategies, SEO, growth hacks, and unconventional online business growth.

@Impulse ended up removing the public "Home" and description on the homepage about a week ago, so we've just scrapped this idea.

I think writing forum description is not needed as search engines will eventually pick it up from backlinks and news sources. Most of the guests will only join after reading tens of posts for a few days and understanding the niche. We should apply "show, don't tell" formula to present it through content and styling instead of description. OO is already versatile in this aspect and some more upgrades can be made along the way.

One idea, maybe instead of worrying about the home description, is to create some sticky or locked threads around some topics, and then link to other threads and posts so you have something interlinking around the forum around similar topics or discussions.

Saves building up singular static pages.

As the forum grows those articles will naturally climb up and bring in most clicks and registred users. Id just target everything to be pure informational based and take it off from there.
