How do you reuse/repurpose existing content most effectively to maximize its longevity and reach?

Any good tips on the subject?

Zero entry bar. Is just reposting the content. Sharing again on social as new audiences have grown. But if that post once done well doesn't mean it will do well again.

I find this approach works for evergreen content like say. I run a beer site I might do tips for avoiding hangover on Oktoberfest or something..

If you decide to edit old content to update it. then I always suggest keeping an original copy because updates tend to water down the original post. So doing future updates it helps go back and make sure the article once edited is still on point.

Editing works if there are updates say your talking about USB adaption and then some news comes in about adapters or something..

Finally finding weak or underperforming content and then editing it. Or reusing it / repurposing it and editing the structure, breaking the content up into smaller paragraphs, add in tables, videos etc is something we often do if pages have either fallen off a cliff or clicks / views to that page are low or virtually none.

Somethings a miss so going back in with fresh eyes a few months later to edit it, bring the standards up to any new change you may have made internally for content creation or writing.

As I've said many times for me I'm a massive fan of tables and any and all old content get stuffed with tables.

If there’s a lot of existing content that you’ve written, you can put it into your favourite language learning model and train it to write more content that sounds like you.

The output won’t be perfect and will still need to be adjusted, but it can be a good way to speed up the writing process.
