Ofcom says that if you refuse to censor yourself under the Online Safety Act, it will force payment processors and ISPs to stop doing business with you. When the government can't shut you up, the banks and credit cards will.

What the actual fuck is the UK becoming.

This is insane, but will probably push crypto adoption. I hope.

I don't think that will happen.

Crypto is already becoming regulated. Banks already can stop you purchasing it. Think this could be a step closer to just stopping it fully.

But no one can stop you paying with it. Like, an uncensored merchant can accept usdt and bypass any restriction by the processors.

Yeah, that's true.

But getting it or cashing out with it could become problematic.

Personally, I can't see crypto replacing payment systems like that, it's just a dream.

Don't get me wrong would be great to be proven wrong, and Id like nothing more than for that to happen but adaptation as it was initially envisioned won't happen. If it does it wont be in our life time.

UK is going backwards
back to the stone ages they will go
Shit ... does that mean we will start importing Australians
