I’ve read so many topics about how ai is going to take over the world and many people will lose their jobs. It’s my opinion that using ai without already having knowledge or being an expert is like pissing into the wind. You’re crossing your fingers and hoping for the best, at most.

The current state of ai does not support such an apocalypse of humanity. In fact many times ai just wastes peoples time if you don’t know how to tell it what to do. If you don’t know the vocabulary.

I find ai to be useless in many of my operations. Even being an expert isn’t enough in complicated situations to get it to do the thing I’m trying to do.

Even if I’m able to achieve my goal with it how is there a guarantee, without already knowing, that it will be able to fix the thing when it breaks?

What about you? Have you run into instances where ai is a feeble thing that can’t support your objectives?

That's so true... Nevertheless people get crazy when they can save a couple pennies, so it got popular based on that. You just can't fuckin explain to business owners that it isn't their saviour, all they see is 'it's cheap (or even free)' and that's it. Meanwhile the thing isn't profitable even with these rates. I think Nvidia actually earns for providing hardware? Lol. What a bubble. Don't get me wrong, huge technological progress too. But heavily overblown. When it'll explode it'll get very ugly.

I don’t think it will take as long for the bubble to blow as it did for the post WW2 bubble to blow.

And then what? We are all fucked? Because of this illusion?

I think it’s time to double down on real SEO, and smart investments, personally. I just don’t think it will last.

While I agree to an extent. I think you are wrong about the job side of things.

People are already loosing work. There is evidence and studies to support this. I myself only hire 1 writer rather than 3 now because everything is done with AI.

The scenario where mass layoffs due to AI I think is decades away though. The bubble is real, you can see that already with Open AI and what they promise and what they deliver..

I just broke my program yesterday because I relied on agentic coding too much. Now I have to debug.
At first it was fun, everything worked, until I decided to rearrange some parts.

Overall it does what I need done except a small amount of mistakes works pretty good so far

For sure content generation is a good use of it. I don’t have to be an expert on many topics to write content myself, however. If you rely on ai alone to write content that’s not some basic concept your content will suck.

Try to create a legal complaint for defamation. It cannot replace an attorney or a paralegal. It makes up too much bs. It will cite incorrect case authorities. It will make you look incompetent if you rely on it without expert input in the prompt.

That’s what I was referring to. Areas where you need to have knowledge of the concept, topic, etc at hand. It’s garbage by itself in any area where it’s not some general topic that only requires a basic understanding because there’s not more to understand.

Yeah but do you think thst matters if a legal expert uses ai with correct prompting to generate what it needs?

I agree if I tried to used ai to start a blog on nuclear physics it's probably going to suck...

But if you got writers or people / experts in a field prompting correctly and providing case or specific info.

You going to be able to tell?

It's great for doing deep dive research, especially running 3 different tools at once to check the same search query, then asking them to check again for consistency.

I have to admit one thing.
My prompts are pure trash.
They're worse than ads that pop up on YouTube.
Most of them miss important details.

Sir, your comment is exactly what I’m talking about. Experts are in high demand. The spamming script kiddy’s can’t keep up. And the experts will become more sought out as the rest drop off for better offline jobs without the copy cat BS. Google will decline more as more move to offline advice.

If you don’t see it lmk I’ll get deep on supply and demand and why ai won’t be able to compete in the near future

Spamming ai is over already. Doesn’t matter your prompt experience. It’s a wrap.

The bubble is popped already imo

Funny situation rn:

Dude's starting his first business, right. First thing he tries to do everything in ChatGPT. This doesn't work (gives him a general idea but can't use only that) so he gets someone from Fiverr. Result is crap so he pays me to fix everything.

So that would be it. 😂

Tbh is this isn’t much different than back in 2015 after a noob read a few threads about automation and outsourcing on BHW. Then goes to fibber.com like that’s where the VAs and creative artists are 😂😂😂

Kinda interested in the rest of this failure for kicks tho
