Over 100,000 users may have been affected and sent screenshots to an unknown location.

Security firm Koi Security has revealed that the Chrome extension FreeVPN.One , with over 100,000 installations, was secretly taking screenshots of all websites visited by its users, sending the images to a domain controlled by the extension's anonymous developer.

Luckily I don't use it, how about you, what VPN do mostly use?
 
Didn't something come out last week about ALL VPNS are not as secure as people think or they claim. That they all track and monitor exactly what you are doing? I'm sure it was something like that..

Most of the big players here: Express, PIA, Cyberghost and so on... are owned by a single company that is run by an ex-mossad guy.

Do you reckon it's as black and white as this? Their have been protests - massive protestd against Netanyahu across the entire country. I don't think Netanyhau administration stands for the people of Israel anymore than the Lords of our parliament who are all white and one hundred percent anglican stand for the people of the uk. They serve themselves imho.

Back to the subject of public VPNs though, don't know what's happening with your trsffic one it reaches their sefvers. Nor is there any reaosns to trust their 'zero-log' ram only server setups. There's no such thing as zero log, you can minimise it, but there will still always be some degree of logging on hardwares. Again, why trust they are logging things minimally. Most of these company's operate well out of the reach of anything like GDPR or any real privacy law at all form what i've gathered so who is even going to stop them decrypting and storing and even selling your data to governments or the highest bidders?
 
Free vpns make you become the product so not surprised this happened .

If you can't afford vpns just use Tor right.

Vpn I use be MullVad
 
Free VPN mean you are free to work publicly without expecting security.
