Do you have a portfolio site for your work/brand/yourself?

Whether you had one in the past or still have one?

How important did you place on having it updated?

With the era of AI lying & exaggeration

What do you actually include on yours? Past projects, testimonials, results, maybe just a simple intro and contact form?

Do you send it to potential clients proactively, or does it just sit there until someone asks for it?

Did it convert well? Did you even track that?

Would love to hear how you guys use (or don’t use) yours.

Yes, i have one.

Do i frequently update it? No.
Do I use it often? No.

A lot of affiliate networks, don't even let you sign up without putting a website in the registration field. That is the only reason why I have a portfolio website.

I have one on my company site, although I rarely reference it.

Depending on what you do, it's kind of hard to make a portfolio in this industry because some clients don't want you showing sensitive work or information to the world.

For instance, I saw a job listing a couple of weeks back that was asking for an analytics portfolio to prove that the applicant had experience growing websites. I don't know what kind of people applied for that, but I can't say I've had a single client who would let me take screenshots of their data.

Even with the graphic design work I've done, some clients have prohibited me from sharing that because it was meant to be done discreetly.

I do have one, but like the rest of the crowd here I don't use it.

I mean, I have my agency website with all the mentioned features, case studies, results, tracking, etc.

I also have a personal website about me specifically but that one has been down for months, simply because of a lack of interest from my side, should probably get it up and running again 😅

I have 2
somewhere, and just like most of you guys
I actually don't update it at all.
I only ever use it for affiliate networks or networks when they force me to show a my "website".

Was thinking of ways I can jazz them up but doesn't seem to be widely used anymore really

No I don't have one and this Thread makes me to create IM portfolio website..

Hope we will create Good one in the near future.. Thanks

I see many redditors always recc making a FirstLastName.com website
I personally don't see a value in that beside making a public $ CV that needs to be maintained constantly :S

Welllll, I'm freelancer/small agency so I have a small website. Started as one pager with copy based on what prospects asked for on sales dms/calls. Then cute wp theme I used broke and I switched to elementor with some random default theme that looked like crap. Then I got my shit together and mixed some templates so it's flashy af now. At first it was basically one page lander that I used as kinda digital brochure that I sent via dm to clients. It has testimonials and contact form. Added a company blog and would like to work more on my content marketing (blog more and I'd like to make shorter social media posts from this blog and encourage people to visit the blog) but of course it's hacked or smth so I need to redo my website again, lol. That'd be version 4 (5? If I count blog section as a serious change?) of that site. At first it was free (sub)'domain', eventually got a domain and it'd make sense to focus more on seo + social media content now, I guess.

Having same problem like @Zwielicht so portfolio isn't on the website, just testimonials, but I do upload stuff quietly sometimes to google drive folder that I share with prospects that are still not convinced after seeing the website.

For affiliate networks I usually type youtube.com as a website or say I'll use paid ads.

And yeah, I track my website of course, I use Yandex Metrica.

Does a Google Sheet counts? If yes, I did had when I freelanced. Now I don't and I am so happy that I don't need it anymore. Hate that in the end.
