That shit was fire back in the day... wicked fire! I used to love that place but stopped visiting it once I got a regular job. I still do IM stuff for the regular job but I just got busy and stopped going there.

I saw the place isn't moderated anymore and that made me really sad! The Shooting The Shit section is just links to spam URLs. :(

Does anyone know what happened to it? I saw there are still a few of the old guys on there but I wish it were still moderated. I would love to get in touch with some of the guys I used to talk to on there.

btw I hope it's okay to talk about other forums here. I saw a mod mention it was ok but just want to be sure it's still the case.
 
Well they only have 3 staff members and none of them are active so that's probably what happened to it. Sad af cause it was pretty chill there back then I agree.

I didn't notice that on their staff page! That's really sad to see!
 
I signed up a few months ago after @TheVigilante told me about it. Never heared of it before..
 
i heard the staff there are scummy
but just rumors
never had (or seen personally) issues with them before ever
but the forum just never blew up cuz.. for a internet marketing forum, it couldn't market to the right audience :)
 
I have an account there but never know how to work on that forum, so i logg off from there. Even i didn't remember last when i was login .

Some epic laughs on there, didn't the owner sell at one point and then there was some drama or some shit.

The characters and anything goes vibe was tops, some smart members too that shared solid stuff (go back to the old threads past the spam shit on there now in the "Enlightened Members" section) - that was ahead of it's time back then, some big names would pop up on there too because it was a smaller forum but with bright minds and laughs.

I got friendly and worked with "CCarter" through there... smart mofo. WF went down hill for some reason/drama I just can't remember what it was. Most of their members headed over to "Builder Society" forum including CCarter at the time.

Yeah smart as fuck... I'm just reading through one of his old threads on there now. I was chatting to him about Ai not that long ago, just before Skype went offline (I ain't switched to Teams yet)... gave me some solid methords/ideas he'd been working with as we hadn't caught up in a while.

Nah it didn't need to blow up, it catered to a different kind of audience... that's why you'd get big players dropping in there doing AMAs. I could be losing my mind here, but I even seem to remember Cutts making some posts on there back then.

You had guys like Ryan Eagle that owned one of the biggest CPA companies at the time.. it got huge and then went tits up and into brankruptcy.. I remember that being a big drama at the time on there too because a lot of the affiliates didn't get paid when he had to declare bankruptcy. The regulars on there were generally making big money not like other forums with "how can i make $1 per day plz sir" threads, that's what made it unique and why they never really tried to market it.

I've a feeling the whole fall out drama was when the owner sold and then the guys that came along did try to change a lot of stuff and pissed the regulars off.

Ah yeah it was called EWA Network the CPA Company that Ryan Eagle owned, huge at the time until it went tits up... and his whole character too was a buzz, the crazy stuff he would pull off and the type of character he portrayed at the time, shits all coming back to me now... making me feel old remembering all this stuff ha

I totally forgot about those names. I think there was some scam around EWA, not sure though. I really would never remember Ryan Eagle without you mentioning him here. And you are right about $1/day threads on all forums and subreddits. Not much quality, just random thoughts from random people and same ol questions for the past 15 years.

He actually recently randomly started popping up on my FB "people you might know" feed, Ryan I mean... that's how he popped into my head and then the memories came flooding back of his antics when replying to this thread. Looks like he runs some sort of investment firm now.

Meh... fucking kids these days eh, wouldn't know a good cookie stuffer if it hit them in the face! To be fair I'm legit feeling old thinking back on them days now... time really does fucking fly heh
