Loved this thought provoking post from Alok Kejriwal whose an Indian entrepreneur and thought sharing and this was mainly geared towards the Indian audience...

These days, I see intelligent people bashing up the USA with arguments that make them seem deranged.

- The US$ and its decline are like some Armageddon.

In the Money supply, things fluctuate. (But the rupee only goes down.)

What these haters fail to realise is that the US$ is still "the choice" of the world. Heck - AK-47 dealers, the Pablo Escobars, Bitcoin miners, Nasdaq Index ETFs, H1B visas, all are US-dominated.

(When was the last time you saw a movie in which a kilo of coke was priced in rupees?)

The USD is not about technicals. It's about sentiment. It's about finding a safe haven. The US can print as much as it wants. Everyone wants dollarzzz.

- The bullying, interfering and dadagiri.

That's what rich folks do. They elbow out competition, they get deals that work for them, and they make people pay. They compete until death. They negotiate till someone starts bleeding.

Mao said, "Behind every great fortune lies a great crime".

I say, "Behind every fortune lies great muscle."

If you can't accept it, you're not destined to be rich.

- The "let's do it ourselves" vs let's make what we KNOW best.

After 20 years with Nvidia, we now wanna make chips start from scratch, just to be 'self-reliant'. We want to make everything that becomes hot. (Banana Chips would be a great export).

And we squander the opportunities that stare us in the face: the Taj Mahal, our cities, and our culture. (More people visit the Louvre museum than those who visit INDIA in 1 year).

Because we are Jealous, we want to make semiconductors (in the dustiest part of the world), and we don't care about tourism.

The best part? All this ranting and slandering occurs on Twitter, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, and Facebook. Guess which country exports these products?
🙂

His learning: Wealth is built on respect and self-recognition. Not by disrespect and jealousy.

There will and always be a longer line of people wanting to see you fail, burn, crash and give up.

Than those who want you to succeed.

Those same people who want you to fail will be there to kick you when you are down.

Humans are cunts.

Personally I love seeing people thrive and succeed somone I drink with has just been headhunted. Landed extra 100k pay rise. 100k in stock over 4 years with another 50k in his 8th year.

Tons of perks etc.

I think that's amazing brilliant for a guy in his 30s hope he crushes it and thrives with the new challenges.

Loads would be envious.

Theres a local businessman who spend 1 million on a pub refurb, has tons of business and property. Done very well for himself.

People who are jealous say it's drug money.

Same people say the same about me.

Do I or him give two fucks? No.

People will always hate. Always be jealous of the things they can't get or have.

👀 Never bash the seed guy. No seed, No weed.

Usually jealousy.
I'm at fault for that a lot recently, kinda stuck in a loop of anger against people that are more successful or have cooler clients than I have, despite being less experienced than I am or for whatever petty reason I have at the moment.

Wasn't fun to admit.

If they are less experienced and they landed a client you wanted then chances are they are cheaper.

Cheaper = Not always better.

So you want to flip it and either adjust your pricing strategy for that type of client i.e the size and learn from it. So if similar businesses you are loosing out to other people then Id say your pricing needs to be adjusted for that kind of company type or size and then you focus on scale so you get 5 clients paying you 20% less is better in the longer run than none..

OR better yet

You move away from them totally as they are just looking for budget options and you start to market to a higher end client type BUT this can come with it's own pitfalls as you may not get the work because you are too cheap. You need to try and start to gauge the market place and find out what people are doing.

Personally if you are struggling (might not be the right word) id create fake profiles on Upwork or similar and pretend to be a small, medium and large company and create a job and look for what you offer and see what people or companies around you and globally are pitching and how they pitch and steal some ideas ;)

Nah.. it's usually me just being a horrible salesperson.
With as much as I'd have wanted it to be about prices, it usually isn't.

It's either about value proposition, sales, the actual plan I proposed, and mostly about "clicking" with the prospect, which is pretty random too.

All the stuff I'm supposed to work on improving but invest my time doing other, more interesting stuff instead. This one is 100% on me and that's what makes me salty.
I try not to be.

This is great advice. Thanks a lot!
I never thought in that direction..

Ok if you are horrible salesperson id 100% do what I said.

Post up jobs and then ask common questions your clients ask you.

See how they answer and start to develop a script / sales pitch around that, that's going to be a little easier than learning from a book in my opinion!

Nice way to reverse engineer 😉

Well it's true slogan "Honesty is the best policy" but who get success in any business people think he/she lied and doing some illegal work then only they got success otherwise it's not possible to get success in such time.. If seller.. sell the products to you at cheap or more as per than market rates people think... definitely he/she want to earn more from me either his products were not good.. so you can't make people happy in any way.. they are going to be jealous in any way. If any person is happy on your success is your real friend or close to you.
When i started the work as a freelancer my relatives said she can't do anything when i did it for my family so many people said that can you tell how you did it either give me any reference from your client so i can do the same.. I directly said NO, it's not possible i can't share anything with you.. on back of mine she is having an ego problem.. She is very pride on herself.. WHat the hell... what you think yourself... should i ask to pay my bills, help my parents, give money for my studies, my brother studies.. So not even your relatives will be happy if you are success.

Am a globalist. I don't belive in restricting oneself to a currency or a country. Anyone can hold EUR, USD, BTC or any asset. Why restrict it to INR vs USD or EUR vs USD or JYN to USD

End of the day it doesn't matter where one is from as long as one has wealth and knowledge to succeed.

So am not someone who would be unhappy if a country is slandered/hated including my own(India)

Just don't hate the people or a race. Hate the country don't hate the race or people living in it. As even FBI couldn't profile people that successfully.

We don't live in a time where travel is restricted between nations. One can operate or do business with anyone. So imo it's all about personal success.

I will only be happy if I make money personally. USA or India making money has nothing to do with what I need.

Also the best thing to do is go with flow. Flow towards successful people don't restrict or have any biases, prejudice or low self esteem seeing another person grow and tagging along.

Money doesn't see color or race and I trust the green. Love the green money. (Cannot do green weed anymore :( because I go into a paranoid trip).

Also by default there is hate and jealousy in every country. Not just india.

So additionally there is no point getting validation from a stranger online. Live and let live.

That's the only currency we want

Remember everyone says I want dollars and not euros maybe we are used to it but I will take anything as long I am getting the conversion ratio which Indians have enjoyed since a long time

I will take any currency even the Chinese Yuan or INR or EUR or GBP or anything that comes along the way.

I am not emotionally attached to the USD or any currency. Its just a medium of payment.

But USD is already in decline, it already peaked. GBP(c. 1815–1914) used to rule the world and its no longer the most traded/used currency.

In the coming decade it will become multipolar for the first time. Because its a more globalized world

Crazy ain't it... HUGE problem in my home town, although the more I talk to people from all over the world, it would seem it's the same all over. I never understood why people didn't like to see their own people do well, it's a bit fucked up. They will actually talk shit about people that do well for themselves, they jelly I guess.

I love this one:

"Bro they're talking about you again"....
"Yeah I know, because if they talked about themselves no one would listen!"

And yeah I'm with @t2van I fucking LOVE seeing people smashing it, especially people from my own city. Don't get me wrong not everyone is like this, I have friends good ones and we all cheer eachother on to do well.
