I was watching YouTube on my TV when I came across this video.
This one is for California specifically, so I checked the government site and was surprised to see I could make a claim for a savings account I had from 2019 that was closed due to inactivity. I made the claim already, but regardless of where you live, check to see if your state or province has a similar website. Here are a few examples below:
These are for different states in the US, but I checked quickly and found similar or equivalent government sites for other countries. Here are a couple of examples:
You never know how much you may have in unclaimed property, so it's worth a check.
 
Must be nice living in a country that has those rules, no such rules here.

That might’ve been from something you saw on the other forum. I would sometimes set my location to joke locations like, “Republic of Bashkortostan”.

If you have forgotten about any saving / current account details and if that is still active you can get your funds back along with interest.
