Computing Why is RAM so expensive!?!?!

What's the difference between 32GB DDR5 and 32GB DDR4?
the 4 grew up and became a 5
duh
Think of DDR4 as a 2lane highway where cars travel at about 50 kmph, while DDR5 is like a 4lane highway where cars go 150 kmph.
DDR5 moves data almost three times faster, making things run afster and can do more at once

I was doing another build for my next computer and I literally cannot get RAM.

DDR5 RAM is just insanely overpriced right now and I don't want to get used RAM because I don't know what the previous person did with it and don't want to take chances.

Is anyone else having this problem right now or is it just me?
oof
i built this pc just last week?
got 64GB DDR5 ram for like 700 bucks
still fucking salty about it lol

Oh no, the world is on the verge of a technological revolution! Fuck the innovators.

Are you actually that clueless that you can't fathom the idea that AI will revolutionize the world we live in?

Imagine being so much of a fool that you think good will come of it.

This makes me so happy I got my build built when I did

Yup the terabytes

RAM used to be one of the cheapest parts of a computer. Now it's one of the most expensive. Crazy times.

AI is making everything expensive with PCs.
Yeah, it was to be expected. People want to take advantage of AI as much as possible.
