India Virus Outbreak! This is insane!

Thanks but no thanks

You might need the ferrets as your saviour as you have health issues yourself
Your're welcome true but my older ferret my doc and my young guy my nurse so all good thanks.

Did you guys hear about the India virus outbreak? I hope it doesn’t become another Covid kind of thing!

It sounds like covid.

I don't understand the race to contain if only 100 people got it and been asked to stay home it doesn't spread that easily? As I'm assuming other people got it and then are stupidly (or not) allowed to walk around.

1.4billion live in India I think. So it's something like 0.00000714% been asked to stay at home of the current population?

Bump the post when it gets to 1%

Rural Malaysia, eh? Maybe it's good that I'm in the city, then. Still suspecting I might have Dengue, there are so many mosquitos here, it's crazy how they fly all over to 20 something floor lol. Stop biting me. Ouch.

It's not nearly as contagious as COVID. That was the main reason why people started getting very concerned, as it was likely to spread fast and it was unknown as to how severe it could be and what it could mutate into.

This is more dangerous if someone catches it, but it's not as likely to spread so it shouldn't be as big of an issue. It's been around since 1998 at least, and apparently originally spread on pig farms.

I did not hear about it either. I hope people can take care of themselves and go crazy about it, thinking it'll be the next Covid-19.

Nahhh... they can’t resist your sweet blood, no matter how high you go.

I will find you and I will bite you.

I think it not being as contagious as covid is great. I'm always worried about another covid happening.

I haven’t noticed any recent news about Nipah in my local media, but I feel it may be intentionally being avoided to prevent unnecessary panic. I hope that medical treatment or antiviral research is currently ongoing.

How did the damn thing happened in case you are wondering. It jumped from bats to human.

India is no stranger to dealing with this disease.

India has a few cases every year or two, but if you go back to the early 2000s there were significantly more cases. They don't know why, but it goes up and down.

It is mainly in the southern and southern parts of Asia that cases can and seems to appear.

Title is more "insane" than this virus lol... you'd have a better chance of a win on the lotto 5 times over than catching this right now, fucking social media and the main stream media stirring the pot as usual! This has been around for years, this recent outbreak is like 100 people within a population of almost 1.5 BILLION.

I really hope people have learned after the Covid nonsense to think for themselves, I remember having arguments on another forum with Barto being the main person I'd debate with... turns out years later I was right and his dooms day shit was uncalled for, the negative effects of those jabs are now coming to light and many wish they had not given into the pressure (which was clear as day, free pizza slices to take a shot? Free shots for errrrybody but good luck getting free care if you're dying of cancer) the media pushed on people, people turning against each other over it, people dying alone due to stupid rules, people losing their jobs and so on and on. So fucking glad I seen right through it, went straight to Dubai where it was more or less like it wasn't even going on.
