I shouldn't say this as a content creator but adblocks for a decade FREE.

There are really better ways to support creators than ads.

New/small creators disabling ads blocks go for it.

Large channels, hell no
 
I uninstalled my ad blocker when YouTube found a way to detect them. I guess it’s time to look for a new one.

Subscriptions are a great way to have unimportant expenses eat away at your finances without you noticing because "Oh, it only costs X a month." There's a reason every company is moving to the subcription-model for profits nowadays.

uBlock origin on Mozilla Firefox browser is usually the go-to suggestion for blocking youtube ads.

I use it and it works for me just fine.

That's why you do only few subscriptions and cancel when you don't need. :D
Like, are you going to cancel your internet because it costs $20 a month? Hell no.
 
I get the cheapest pakns for straming apps - nf, prime, disney etc. Ads galore. What can you do lol? I just keep a second device at hand and read through my emails etc when they play.

I dont get ads on Disney, Netflix, paramount or apple, do on prime. Plus normal tv.

I dont do YouTube on the tv im not that type, can sit and chill by a laptop in the morning watching something, my brother inlaw does YT on tv like its a soap opera thats not for me.

I live by myself most of the year, the fuck I am paying all that money for high-end streaming app subscriptions lol. Like your Brother-in-law, I do like yt more myself too ngl better for a bit of background noise when needed while working especially

I got fed up with ads, so what I did was download the ambience YouTube videos I used to play and put them on a 1TB SSD. I plugged that into my Roku Streambar and now I have 24/7 ambience without the annoying ads.
