What is the promotion?​

From March 13, 2026 through March 27, 2026, your five-hour usage is doubled during off-peak hours (outside 8 AM-2 PM ET/5-11 AM PT). Usage remains unchanged from 8 AM-2 PM ET/5-11 AM PT.

Eligibility​

No action is required to participate. If you’re on an eligible plan, the doubled usage is automatically applied.

Where does this apply?​

The 2x usage increase applies across the following Claude surfaces:

• Claude (web, desktop, and mobile)
• Cowork
• Claude Code
• Claude for Excel
• Claude for PowerPoint

Hmmmmmmm THAT explains why I was able to convince it yesterday to generate 90 posts, all downloadable in pdf in one prompt on free plan . These AI companies seem to do it a lot... They limited ChatGPT - I switched to Grok (me being a cheapskate too aside, it's actually really good software, very advanced in comparison to ChatGPT). Now Grok is limited - Claude has a generous free plan. Interesting. You can basically just switch like this (although I still like Grok, it's good).

Its like that with ISPs too. It's like you need to keep hopping between them.

What typa crap do you generate if one prompt is enough. Oh my god! Sorry for language, just felt shocked.

Of course OpenRouter and reasoning models are the best. Maybe another aggregator. But using these default chat websites is maybe for someone who does something on the run.

I used APIs and credit tricks since 2024 if I remember correctly.

Maybe https://arena.ai/ is good for chat? I heard it's good but have never used it.

To be fair only 1/3 of what it spit out is usable so yeah . So no, it's not enough, I probably have to redo it 6 times more but I wanted to see if it'll generate that much on the free plan.

What is that? Something like poe.com?

Normally I just use Grok and basically have a conversation with it to get to what I want lol, like @t0mmy said they made it very personalized (sometimes it's a bit creepy eh).

I like Claude, so this is a bonus.
