Health Do you guys take creatine?

But why? What's the point? That's what I never got. I can master speed-counting so O can count super efficiently but why would I? Same for running.
Different reasons for different people.

For me personally, I have a few different reasons. I’m very physically active, and having the strength and endurance to go about the day without getting exhausted is important to me.

I also like being prepared for situations that require me to defend myself. I had to defend myself during my childhood, and there have been times in my adult life that this has come up as well.

The last reason is just because I like having what I refer to as “freedom of movement”. If I want to do a handspring in the living room or jump out of bed, I can (and I do). It makes life more fun for me.

I am planning to join a gym nearby and wanted to ask if anyone here consumes creatine?

Is it important to drink 3-4 lts of water in daily intake after taking it ?

Also, what changes have you noticed after taking it regularly?
Even if it's to kickstart the brain in the morning I suggest creatine

You'll put on your water weight and lose it in minutes if you're not eating right, but if you are eating right you'll get the mass in

I'm actually having great results with my conditions in my back and shoulders with the amount of pressure I've been able to hold in place

Good stuff, I stick to the 5g/day in the mornings, with my coffee

Don't pour boiling water on creatine, turns into some easily wasted and flushed form of creatine that the body loves but doesn't have much effect, warm coffee or tea and it'll dissolve like brown on a warm spoon

Dopamine is for sissies.
I used to be in great shape. Ran 60km/week did all sort of stupid stuff all day long for years.
Never liked it. And the relief I get from knowing I don't need to do it again...
You sound like an addict.

Addict to what? Stress?

Not sure the harm in doing something that resolves that.

Each to their own.

I am also seeing the cons with many people complain about hair loss as it increases DHT...did you face any such issues?

I hear it has cognitive benefits as well
Creatine does not cause hair loss. What you’re referring to is a 2009 study in which participants taking creatine showed an increase in DHT of up to 56%. This finding has not been consistently replicated, and many other studies have not found the same effect.

If you still want to start taking creatine but are concerned about DHT levels, you can get blood work done before and during supplementation. If your DHT levels do rise, treatments like finasteride or dutasteride can help block DHT.

In your muscles, creatine is stored as phosphocreatine. This means that when you’re lifting weights, sprinting, or doing any explosive movement, creatine helps you maintain strength and performance for a bit longer. This can lead to better workout performance, increased strength and maybe a bit of muscle growth. Creatine also draws water into muscle cells, which can make muscles look fuller and may support muscle recovery. Be aware that if you stop taking it, a lot of the "creatine weight" will also be lost with this.

Maaaan I'm receding so bad

Is there any creatine for balding fools I wonder

Albert Camus basically asked the same thing, if it's all pointless, why not just off ourselves?

He decided the answer was to find joy in pushing a heavy rock up a hill over and over again. We're all Sisyphus, might as well get a good pump while we're at it :D
