Oh yes, I had them at the local factory of textbooks here. It was made out of metal and not even a strongman would be able to lift it up.

Yes, I have worked for an employer that had standing desks. They are great. If your employer cares about their employees, they will invest in them.
Were they bolted to the ground or just very heavy?

I had a standing desk when I was an employee before starting my own thing. Never used it but I had it for some reason.

I don't recommend, but you can try for 2 - 3 months. Longer? No way.
Yes, stretching and shower feel awesome after standing for 8 hours, but it's like eating bad food only to feel relief when you vomit!!!
Office where a friend works has those adjustable standing desks for all employees. Majority of them are developers, it's a local crypto wallet/exchange company with a license. One of a few companies of its sort, so must be making shit ton of money.
Those tables are great, worth the money (if the company is buying it lol, wouldn't buy it for myself to use at home).

But you don't have to keep the desk standing all day, you can adjust the height. The point of these tables are literally to help with those back, neck pain that you get by sitting for hours. You increase the height, work standing for 1-2 hours and adjust it back to your sitting height.
Hahaha, it's only true for computer workers.
At some places you can't sit down for too long.
But if you're a self employed artist, you can even sit on your bed or sofa and do what you want.

Sounds like it took them 15 years to build that career.
I don't know, people look at 6 figure jobs like some great opportunity, but to get there you need to invest maybe 7 figures in resources, time, energy.

My company gave me a chair, it's a blessing (chair doesn't even have a headrest)

Those small companies are so stupid and retarded, never again. Dopious knows how to do deals with companies who bring fortune instead of misery. Good company will give you a laptop, computer and even... money!
