EU's new app to check age limits on the internet is "technically ready" and meets "the highest privacy standards in the world," the European Commission announced on Thursday. The same day, a security consultant criticized the app - claiming to have hacked it in less than two minutes.

 
I'm fuming it's not John Kiriakou
Seeing so much of his content on social recently. Probably triggered by Iran war.

Tbh I never heard of him prior to this, I did know about the whistle blower ( torture) but didn't know him by name/face.

Yeah, outsourcing to private sucky contractors I guess as most governments, so I guess it is a private firm in the end that sucks.
 
Shows exactly how much the government cares about your security and privacy. Even if it was outsourced, it is still the responsibility of the government to check and ensure that the company is credible and knows what it is doing.
