🥘 Food & Drink How much do you spend in restaurants monthly?

Mate.

I'm a farmer.

I'm telling you now. Food production as you know it will stop.

It will become to expensive to produce anything. You think you will still get lettuces, tomatoes at commercial scale if no one can afford to buy them.

It takes fuel and energy to

1. Deliver fertlizers.
2. Produce fertlizers.
3. Fuel transportation.

Not to mention all the other things producing and harvesting oil produces plastics, c02 and so on.

If farmers can run tractors they can't farm at scale.

Like I said restaurants closing are least of the problems
Dude you need to understand they give a fuck about small and middle seized farmes. They want to get them broke anyways.
Only the big controlled farms will survive and later the foood production will be switched within the next 10-20 years directly in the big cities so no more farms will be needed anyways based on their plan.
All kind of fruits and vegatables which currently need to be imported can be produced directly in the city with no transportation. They will market it as green revolution. It takes only 1/20 of water than convential farming and can yield multiple times per year.Where in the city will it be produced ?
In the empty office buildings which will be caused by AI and automatisations.

I'll use this as the get to my bunker notice :ROFLMAO:
Fuck I swear only when cellular network broke *then* I couldn't order restaurant food because there was no mobile internet and no fiber either so we had to move our asses outside and do rl grocery shopping.

I know I'm biased because *I just like* takeout, but hell... There was a flood in Sri Lanka. Supposedly 'third world' country. Water cut, electricity cut... And I still managed to order takeout and some dude brought that in from nearby restaurant in a backpack. Like... Come on. If asians stop eating takeout I officially state worldwide crisis of the century (so as @t2van said, if restaurants go RIP we have bigger problems).
asian won't be effacted at all.India will have a bigger recession but only to create opportunities for big investors to buy cheap into it before the massive growth.

Its about christians but it seems people don't get it

Okayy I'm in Lanka right now and I think I found normally priced tickets to Georgia (is this european enough for ya'll or no? 😂 That's the best I can potentially do in my budget 😂) so I don't really... *sighs* What happens in Western Europe is probably not that relevant for me. I spend, like 0 days in a year in Poland so probably don't care about that much either, just want my passport to stay strong. Hope you enjoy Poland, and if you need some healthy food try to google 'dieta pudełkowa' or something to get these diet lunchboxes. I agree that shit will hit the fan, one way or another, idk details, tbh Poland already had problems before and Western Europe has weird stuff going on there (not trying to troll, kinda feel for you guys, immigrant situation is weird, etc). Not going into whole conspiracy here but economy is weird already, we're heading into WW3. Idk zionists, not zionists. I'm not in Europe so yeah. A bit alarmed about Russia being right next to Georgia but hey, I don't think I'll find anything cheaper that'll give me residency and I can't just float in the air.

Georgia is at this point a Russian satellite. They have been protesting their ultra pro Russian authoritarian government for year and a half. There's shittons of Georgians here in Central Europe for a reason. Also, Russians have been occupying like 1/5th of Georgian territory since 2008.

Georgia is amazing, both cuisine and wine + the country is beautiful. Definitely worth a visit. But for a residency? Will it be stable? ish.. Will it be democratic? Not really. Will it do well economically? Not a chance.

So up to you what is suitable for you. I would never in my life switch Poland for Georgia, but you do have your reasons and I absolutely respect it.

And so on

Here you have your future in a documentary .....its mixed languages based on the locations he is

Communism killed 35 millions christians and hated and fought the christian church in their controlled terrytorities
First of all to make it clear, I am an athiest and do not belive in any religion.. but.

Christians has killed far more than that in the name of christianity, some 50-80M, so that is a weak excuse.

Yeahhh Russia situation bothers me tbh but running out of countries at this point. Dubai? Too expensive and *muslim* 😐 (even if people like to deny it and claim it's a normal country). Mauritius? I'd like that, actually, and way closer but too expensive again and once I started reading into it they have some issues too.

The way I choose countries is based on how easy the visas are, tax and low costs of living (bruh I don't live to spend everything on rent). Sri Lanka was supposed to have max stay of 270 days but apparently it's more like 5 months *ok, fine* 🙁. They had like, 0 tax, but new president wants to be modern or smth and they have taxes now 😐. Veeery cheap for basic things since sri lankan rupee is 4 times weaker than indian rupee. I just blow cash and don't do shit myself (takeout only/mostly, maid, etc) and rent 3 floor new house for the price of a storage unit, so understandably I spend more than a backpacker. But here also are regular electricity cuts and they kicked out the other president. Like, stormed his residence 😂. So these cheap countries have different issues.

Georgia hmmm, we used to house some georgian refugees so I get that people run away from there for a reason but I also run tf away from Poland for a reason, yet some foreigners, especially western come there for cheaper costs, they try to get our passport because it's good, etc.

I'm just sad I can't probably stay in Asia whole year, not looking to go to a western country and not looking to go to Poland. I'd rather do something eastward or just Asia but Asia is hard to immigrate to and a lot of people try alternatives like this for that reason 🙁. I'm basically looking to go east from where I started (central kinda). Have to go a little bit closer it seems and I'm not exactly happy about being right next to Russia but it's hard to beat Georgia's offering for small entrepreneurs.

Never understand this comment.

It's a business.

Your own energy costs gone up, grocery bills gone up. You think restaurants don't have the same cost increases?

Then you have tax, staff and so on. It's a business the end of the day. Businesses need to make money.

The argument is worse if your self employed and charge people money for a product or service.

So you can increase prices but a restaurant can't?

Either you can afford to go out or you can't. There is nothing wrong with that. But the pricing argument is wrong in my opinion.
I agree that restaurants are businesses and have to make their money too, but if you’re paying $14 for a 16 oz sparkling water, that has nothing to do with covering costs. I can afford to go out. I just choose not to go to restaurants that are blatantly trying to rip you off.

Also, stop this thread from derailing and bringing politics/religion into it. Otherwise, we have to close this thread.

Thank you for turning this thread political and covid style.

I slept only 3 hours, so I don't have energy to read it.

I have to move out. I'll spend $200 a month to rent a room.

But these days I have skills to get a minimum wage job or maybe even win money on the lottery called business... I mean, speculation is more accurate word for what I'm doing.

I can also sleep in the woods if I'm retarded mentally enough at the time. Right now I take too many medications to sleep in the woods. Rather pay $200 on retainer.

Been planning it one year ago but got busy drinking and playing League of Legends, then finding people on the internet. Good time it was. Now I'm too busy with... art, engineering, speculation / business to stay at this loud place where I can't even sleep!

Of course I'm cutting my restaurant bill to $20 a month. I prefer sleep over some food. :)

Here nawet access to shower is limited... 5 people 40 sqm... poverty mindset most of them.

Go sleep, forum can wait.

$157 in Sri Lanka for newly built villa so yeah. I probably could eat for less than I do if I ate only rice and lil bit of chicken but I eat tons of meats, veggies, crabs, etc and minimal rice so labour costs at the restaurant aren't too bad, ingredients still cost even if I'd cook myself so I prefer to pay slightly more for someone to cook it.

Yeah water is so expensive in Poland, I was always paying extra at the end 🙁. Here I can fuckin swim in the shower, make shittons of laundry (our washing machine takes 11kg I think?) and it's maybe 33-55 pln per month with super heavy use, huge laundry, etc. In Poland sometimes even obviously middle class beauty bloggers argue in the comments on how fast to rinse their hair to have a lower water bill 😭. Here if I want to just fuckin stand in the shower and contemplate life like if I was under a waterfall or smth, I can.

I didn't consider showering price.

I considered the fact 5 ppl on 40 sqm causes everything to be blocked.

I won't describe conditions.

It isn't important to someone with mental health disability as long as they're ill. Right now I'm not feeling ill, so small things like blocked and busy shower sound mediocre.

basic food prices are similar all around the world imo, if you search

Sigh.

You know its carbonated yeah? That's not free. Carbonated products have almost doubled in price since 2020.

Most "sparkling" water is sometimes (I got no idea why as I can't stand it) a premium product. There are also premium brands. Maybe the brand the restaurant you ordered at has a particular price based on the brand they have in.

That's a bit like me complaining about ordering a Macallan whiskey and expecting to pay Jack Daniels prices.

Again drinks are where higher margins often are in restaurants. There's a price to pay. Rip off I doubt it.

Same price here as in 2015. Myth. Of course only for sparkling water. Not for sparkling coca cola. But I can make coca cola drink for 10 cents. Businessmen don't have my skills...

My skills + their sugar... I be their baby.

No it's not the same prices.

Coke has gone up for you in Europe due to a sugar tax anyway. Look at historic pricing.

Everything has gone up due to rising costs, carbonation, taxes, energy and so on.

Fact we even having these kind of discussions on here it's no surprise most people fail in business.

Yes, exactly.

But there are solutions to this problem for businesses like offering proprietary blends and not buying real sugar.

Don't tell me sugar is premium product.

Or manufacturing something expensive on their own...

That's why I don't stick my nose in things way above me!

I stick my nose in speculative ventures.

But now it's no longer a restaurant.
