I'm looking for ways to specifically use HSK 4/5/6 Mandarin language in business, art, experiments, engineering, making deals, social media.

The person doesn't know anything other than Mandarin. But I know social media and computers.

He's living on a prayer. I mean, he's not working because he is a dignitary like me... and he stays bored a lot spamming me on messenger!!!

I don't particularly understand your situation here. There is a wide gap of knowledge between HSK4 and HSK6. I'm ~HSK3 and my wife is easily well beyond the HSK6 testing level, as HSK6 isn't close to real fluency of the language, it is just enough to work in most business environments (there is a massive difference in our Mandarin abilities at these levels).

Who is the HSK certification holder here in this scenario, and what is their actual level? In any case, there are numerous people who can speak both English and Mandarin fluently with both social media and IT experience. What exactly are you trying to accomplish in an already flooded skill-set market?

Oh I don't know. Just have some tiktok, instagram or youtube maybe with Chinese news, Chinese food, culture etc. We could partner up as micro influencers and go to China, record some videos for our channels.

Something interesting for us, our audience and me because I hate passive traveling without purpose. I would just get drunk as hell, but if I go there with camera, it's a different story!

Also learn some camera, video making - my career that I'm trying to start since 10 years. :P

What is this person trying to achieve? He doesn't know and that's his problem. He just wants to do some studies because he's 20 yo.

Also we both know Polish.
I also have passion for DIY, psychology (I know so many myths, not formal education), and art. Money is not my life purpose. :devilish:

We're not here for big numbers. The purpose of life is different!

Still better than BHW marketplace.

Truth is he can't do shit.

He can't even do accs (accounts on social media).

He has an iPhone 16e. Potential ROI on that phone is ok. But he won't do TikTok.

He just can't.

Shame on you, bro. I know you're reading this.

He thinks people on this forum make $5 a day. lol

Pretty boring answer here and not exactly "Office Outlaw"-style... but at 20 years old and an understanding of Mandarin (if really HSK4+) with an unclear direction on what to do, I'd really insist on finishing a higher education as the wisest course of action. I'd look for university placements in Mainland China or Taiwan, there are a lot of really affordable options and scholarship opportunities for foreign students. Engineering, healthcare, data sciences... all viable options.

The sad reality is the internet marketing / digital nomad space is brutally different than 15-20 years ago. You can't rely on being able to continually successfully stay ahead of the curve and rapidly increasing costs of living. At 20 years old, you need to be future thinking and secure a safety net now. Even if by pure chance you happen to capture lightening in a bottle in an online segment now, what happens in your 30/40/50s?

I see a bit of a getting rid of competition style here. But can't say anything negative about studying abroad, sounds like fun thing to do at that age.

Traditional careers feel like a slow-motion prison for creative brains. I see chaos where ideas and execution smash together, not spreadsheets and dashboards.

Yeah, the digital world evolved, but people who adapt and deliver actual value are still winning, and I'd way rather bet on myself than lock into some soul-draining "safe" path.

Life's unpredictable no matter what. What really scares me isn't risk, it's being so dependent on money that I'm basically helpless without it.

I can understand your perspective and I wish you the best of luck in the IM space or whatever you choose to do. However, my post was a recommendation for your young friend who you say doesn't exactly have a strong skill-set and no clear direction at this time. I'm not here to post self-aggrandizing nonsense, or blow pseudo-motivational smoke up people's asses; if that is what they're looking for then I hear LinkedIn is a great place to hang out.

Yeah, I noticed when it was too late.

I'm really harsh in this matter... I just can't look at this approach... sitting on their ass and whining, then asking to "gibe me money to fund my studies". Crap mindset.
