Hey!

You’ve probably heard of homeschooling but what about unschooling?

This is some new movement where parents are pulling kids out of school to “unschool” them.

didn't brits or some other country force parents to send their children back to school, since the quality of education was better than homeschooled, recently?

Haha I think I remember reading something about this!

I couldn’t find the article on it only something from 2020 but it doesn’t seem the same. This one is more about the pandemic.

What's the cost of education for kids where you live any idea?

Nah that’s not it. He was talking about one recently. I saw an article about it too.

They had to pass a whole act on it recently.

Its free basically

Primary school parents pay like 50 EURO contribution
Secondary school is also free with also a contribution for extra school outings etc.

College/Uni is depending on what your are going to study but mostly 1000 EUR per year + school books etc.

Some of the TikTok (ughh) videos I’ve watched from the parent who do this, it’s not a money issue since these places have free schooling. A lot of them are getting frustrated with the education system for different reasons and start trying to do whatever this is instead of homeschooling them.

Sounds a lot like another 'branch' of sovereign citizens. Never heared of it till now.

You see these guys come up on YouTube sometimes. Usually arguing with a cop about how the law doesn’t apply to them because of this.

Well here in India the cost for kids in top private schools is around $2k+ per year right from the start

That means it's the same cost required to become an Engineer here what an irony lol

Engineering one year fees is around $2k lol

Does this all even make sense???

I wonder what they teach lol at such young age

@BlogPro you might want to let them know the fees structure in Mumbai 😁 for kids right from the start

Younger parents in particular do not like how the current system ( old) system is that everything is still linear. The only thing that has evolved is the usage for tablets/laptops but other than that the education still remained the same.

They believe that their children need more freedom, like instead of forcing them learn math, they may excel in arts.

I think everyone on this forum would probably agree with that mindset, since we/most of us are doing things that we haven't gone to school for.

I can agree with parts of it. Doing things differently isn’t bad and I’m not a big fan of the way schools are.
At the same time I also think these kids should be put in situations where these skills or questions about it these skills come up in a well rounded way. I did see some of these parents try to do it, but then there are others, god I forgot their names, but they seem to be trying to indoctrinate their own children to put it one way.

Someone I know had to pay 10k per year for her air hostess education..

Also I am talking about public schools, private schools are not popular here. They do exist, but only for well the rich..

I love these videos. Right to travel kills me every time lol..

Yeah, put a baby in the driver (sorry, I mean traveler) seat because they have a right to travel. Fuck, let them fly a plane because traveling is a right.

It’s like they don’t think about what they’re saying. “Right to travel” through city owned roads they probably complain about paying for.

What about my right to travel through their home? We’re all on Earth right? It’s my right to travel where I want? OK maybe I’m taking it out of context so they’d say but still come on.

I hate these people, often times they're right but god they're annoying AF.

@Dopious is a Swede right?
They've one of the best education in the world, would never home school my kids if I were to live there.

You know someone’s annoying sf when they’ve got me siding with the cops lol

I was homeschooled on/off because of health reasons. As in - teachers were coming to me so I didn't have to go outside.
