I’m shopping around for a new ring. The thing is I don’t know what material to get it made out of!

It’s like there’s so much to choose from and I don’t know which one is best.

What material is yours made out of and what made you go for that?

White gold all day if it's for a lady. The engagement ring I bought for my wife was white gold with a 1 carat diamond. Mine is a pure silver worth like $30.
 
Damn, I am officially old, I seem to be the only old-school guy that likes real normal big ass gold here, hmm.

I had my wife's engagement ring handmade and then went back to the same designer to make other matching jewellery over time as gifts. Beats having something generic from the back of the catalogue

Gold or white gold, depends on what she likes.

Also you can get a silicone ring alternative to wear on days where your running or hiking.
 
Do either of you have any metal allergies? That’s something to keep in mind.

Whatever you decide on, stay away from silver. Our first ring sets were made of silver, and sterling silver still tends to be quite soft and prone to damage.

We still have the silver rings, we just wear them less often.
 
Use silver as white gold.. now I am using that.. heard silver is for positivity to wear.
