Fine-tuning successfully removes typical AI quirks like clichés, allowing the text to evade detection tools and reversing the initial skepticism of expert readers (pp. 1, 7).

At a median cost of just $81 per author, this process represents a 99.7% reduction in raw production costs compared to human compensation (pp. 1, 7).

the internet has been trained to read things a certain way.
so, reading it any other way makes it awkward for people

I can see why authors are worried about this, especially if AI can mimic a writer's style that closely for such a low cost. At the same time, I think human creativity and original ideas still matter a lot more than just reproducing a writing style.
