I wanted to share this PSA because it’s been coming up a lot for me in my job search.

Read descriptions carefully because there are a load of “remote jobs” that are entirely on-site. For some reason companies are putting remote work in the title or as the job type just to attract more people so they get more resumes.

In my opinion this is a big waste of time because people applying for remote jobs don’t want to go into an office but hey ho.

You might want to checkout remote sales because that is totally remote if that's the route you would want to take

Appointment setter, DM setters, closers etc.

It feels like some companies are using "remote" as clickbait just to get more applicants. It's a waste of everyone's time, especially for people who are specifically looking for a fully remote job.

This is the same issue as with hybrid roles. They say it’s a hybrid role and then you find out it’s entirely at their office.
Oh interesting. In my home country when I was looking for remote jobs they were *always* hybrid, not fully remote. Never saw hybrid listing that's actually fully offline, wtf is with these lies in job offers 😐.
