After all this time, I've managed to catch up with everyone else and finally catch covid. I think I had it before it was popular anyway but I've just unlocked my pandemic achievement a little late but finally better than never I suppose.

Id have just shrugged it off as a cold but I got no sense of smell or taste and no amount of bourbon before bed has helped cure it. Although I think this just means I need to consume more later.

I've had the flu plenty of times in my life, I know what that's like. I just figured that with the ability not to smell or taste anything, it's the old, used-to-be popular lurgy.

Normally, when I get a cold or something, I take a double bourbon before bed as it helps to clear airways and kills the gunk on the back of the throat and I sweat it out while I sleep. None of that this time, woken up feeling worse.

I've been exiled to the home office I can't sit and rest in bed that's not me never been that kind of person. Taken 4 cold and flu tablets combined with a ton of caffine and I feel like I'm being productive, re-reading my work in a day or two may prove that has not been the case though But for now I'm just job adverts and refining our ChatGPT SEO assistant.

I made it to Friday. I think I overdid it a bit yesterday with work and training, but I'm OK. I got smell and taste almost back to normal. I'm still a bit bunged up, but I survived.
