Yeah, factory reset or OS reinstall won't work. Its nutcase of a situation.

Can’t you just flash the BIOS to get rid of it? I know that comes with its own risks.

@Spicy Nug I have managed to contain this thing by booting from a USB (Not windows but Fedora and seems the issues are gone). And contrary to popular belief, Linux is damn good.

Yepp, I use Linux and infection doesn't spread on my computer. Also live usb for servicing your devices is a great idea because if it becomes infected it returns to 'factory settings' after you turn off your computer anyway so probably better to connect infected phone to a live system rather than your main one.

Do you know how you infected your phone? I'm 99% sure mine got infected through the browser.
