It depends on your product/service but what I see so many get wrong is the GOAL of cold calling. Many people try to close a deal or sell their product/service in the call, that shouldn’t be your goal (in most cases).

No, and its not about laziness. Write the best content possible that answers search intent as soon as possible and then go on to answer secondary search intent (questions that pop up after the user got their answer).
Write your 1, 3, and 5 year goals down on a piece of paper, break them down into subtasks and break those down into more subtasks. Eventually you will fill your days with more work than you thought possible and your sense of direction will become more clear for each day.
