I always ask it for sources on any claims it’s making. The thing about these LLMs is that they could be pulling the information from anywhere: Reddit comments, random shitty blogs, AI-spammed forums, you name it. If it’s something important such as legal or medical stuff, you especially need to...
The first gold stars as well! That’s awesome, @Rem!
It’s platinum stars next (they look blue like Platinum Status to better differentiate them from the silver stars) then purple. There’s a green one I’m working on above purple and I was thinking of adding a few other tiers at some point, but I...
If you live around a bunch of people who need help fixing their computers, you could definitely pull this off. You can start this off just by asking someone you know if they know of anyone who needs help with a computer problem.
The best part about this is that when you fix their issues, they...
I had to put this on hold, but this is something we're still looking into.
When we do implement this, we're also looking at temporarily requiring submissions to go through this process for all members who want to submit a listing. However, we'll keep it fully open to submissions for those of...
There’s an option to highlight an entire thread, although we rarely use it. @Bob highlighted it today, and it apparently appears like that in the feeds. I did it to your thread here just so you can see another example.
That’s pretty neat as I didn’t know about that specific highlight or the...
When I was setting up Office Outlaw, it was my first time setting up a Xenforo forum from scratch. So, I started reading as much about starting forums as I could.
One of the topics I had to learn more about was determining and allocating server resources.
Upon reading about server requirements...

We've updated our site guides, adjusted the requirements for Sapphire Status and there are a couple of new trophies. I swear, this was not to get me to 60 trophy points so I can finally have silver stars!
@Impulse updated the requirements for Sapphire Status. We've moved it up...
DesignRush reached out to my company back in 2024 about having my listing on there. They asked if I would be willing to put up a Verified Agency banner on my homepage. I put it in the footer of my business site and they gave me a listing.
I get impressions from DesignRush based on the data they...
I wonder if Microsoft will take action against Elon Musk or the new company for “impersonating them”. I know other companies have taken similar actions against individuals for similar stunts. The idea behind it is that if the name of the company potentially confuses its customer base, then it’s...
Most people I know who do marketing on Facebook do so because the users who are still there will buy anything and do not scrutinise products, services, or information. I don’t agree with this tactic, but I can see why it’s done.
Reddit users tend to be more savvy in this regard, but Reddit...
I’ll look over what we have and see if it seems appropriate to create a “Marketing” category. I need to spend some time this week coming up looking over all the suggestions here, so I’ll get back to you about it then.
Also, 10 upvotes to add it in. ;)
Out of curiosity, has this already happened here, or is this an issue you anticipate happening here in the future?
Adding it to rule 1.4 would definitely work.
Seems legit enough to me. Any jobs I applied for there actually responded fairly quickly. I mean, I still got rejections, but at least they respond unlike these fake job listings all over LinkedIn and Indeed.
I don’t know of any other websites like that, b it I’d share them here on OO if I did.
Thank you for linking to that.
@payal23j, we have manual approvals here right now, but we’re always looking to add in more ways to prevent bot registrations. If you ever have any suggestions on that, definitely feel free to submit them in this section.
I think it was a 3 month plan at $30/month back then, so the TV technically cost $90.
Where I live, there are only two ISPs, and Frontier is the only fiber optic provider, so I was going to go with them anyway. It’s like, which one am I going to pick: the shitty slow cable internet or the fast...
