SEO itself will never die. Search engines might evolve or change but SEO itself is here to stay. Reason is that people will never stop searching for information. And they have to do it through something.

I have certainly noticed this. It's like an SEO deja-vu. New round from ground zero. Keyword stuffing, spamming headings etc. People are scared of it taking eating organic clicks but it might actually be a new Klondike by itself.
