A lot of social media astroturfing and blackhatting and strategies involve the creation of bot farms. I only had a few but they slowly came for my Facbook and IG accounts. Now even my 'real' facebook is on the radar. Just got my account blocked until I post a selfie check.

Apparently on facebook they are coming for basically every single account eventually block by block. It's fairly obvious this is all an intel operation and all this information will end up with Palantir and Persona. But in the process it's likely going to destory a lot of blackhat operations. Or is their a way round it.

Even more leniant platforms might be forced to follow suit, discord, as we saw and reddit earlier today got fined about $15 million dollars by Britain's ICO over age verification checks.

Is this the end?

No, it won’t end botting, but it will surely stop many people from doing it. People who make big money from social media botting will likely find a workaround (and age-verification checks can be bypassed). It will also deter many others who don’t want to deal with this. A lot of people on various social media sites do not feel comfortable sharing their ID online. And rightfully so. There are data breaches all the time, so why even bother? They will likely switch to another social media platform that is not as heavily regulated. And that’s most likely where many botters will go as well. Long story short: yes and no.
