I think it would be very epic if we had an ecom section over there.

PS: Maybe it could be broken down into sub-sections, like a section for dropshipping, wholesale?

I always try to see if I can add a prefix rather than an entire subforum, but give me some time to look into this. If it doesn’t fit under any of the existing subforums, it is a big enough part of internet marketing that I can say it can have its own section.

Ecom can have different sub sections like POD, dropshipping , d2c, amazon, walmart etc

I can add tags in for those.

However, before I do, I'm not as well-versed with e-commerce, so do you know what it's called when someone does e-commerce just for themselves? Like, let's say I have an e-commerce store on my own website that sells supplements I make, what should that be called? I just need to know so I can add the prefix.

I dont think there is a specific word for that other then a store, correct me if am wrong here @UnusualSubstance

As well as tags are good for now instead of a complete new section. In future if you see a demand in this you can always create an entire new section and divert those posts to sub sections based of the tags used

That's exactly my thinking on it. Especially because with the prefixes, if I need to see if there's a lot of discussion on it to warrant a new subforum, all I have to do is click the prefix and I can see how many topics were opened on it. That easy.
