EXIF data from images is often unintentionally removed during compression or optimization. However, this metadata is important for image SEO.

To add EXIF data to your image, you can use tools like https://www.thexifer.net/, which allows you to edit and embed metadata directly into your images.

Now, upload the image.

Then, click on the blue 'eXif.me' button.

Fill in the required data, then click the blue 'GO.EXIFING' button. Once processed, download the file using the download button.

To verify the embedded EXIF data, simply visit https://www.metadata2go.com/ and upload your file to view all integrated exif data.

Is this really important nowadays, I know people SEO optimized meta data years ago?

Yes, EXIF data is still important. Although SEO has changed over the years, adding EXIF metadata helps search engines understand your images better.

EXIF data can also help with local SEO if you include geolocation info. Plus, it adds value for users, especially in niches like photography.

Theres nothing there I can see that would have any impact for SEO?

Alt / title kind of takes care of most of the naming to understand what the image is.

You might want to check the 6 tabs here and the possibility of feeding all this data to Google for your image for different purposes.

Is that because you uploaded a photo of a lense?

Or is that information to do what camera and set up was used?

EDIT

I just looked, its for camera details. So, how does the lens I used and what digital camera help image search identify what the image is?

It's usually about the camera and settings, but certain lenses and additional info can also be added.
