Well my plan has always been retire at 50.
However as I contemplated selling up around this time last year the wife took us on a long weekend break into the woods. No phone, no internet, email, nothing.. she said if I wanted to retire sooner I could but she didn't think I could do it. I lasted less than 48hrs.
I'm not one to sit on my backside so I came up with another plan, it's insane but its a goal I'm trying to hit to keep me doing. I don't think I'll retire fully, I can't really sit down and do nothing.
So plans change and evolve. That and pending MRI it's looking like I got rheumatoid arthritis in both my ankles, feet and knees kind of makes me think I'll have to slow down and not by choice but that's another thing all together.
Plan wise only thing we have carved out:
1. I want to do a month in Japan for Cherry Blossom
2. Wife is a big Agatha Christie fan so we are doing the whole Orient Express theme thing and do ALL destinations they offer, the Death on the Nile with the river boat I think? There is one more as well, can't recall what that is.
We can afford to do it all now but we want to enjoy it and not rush back for work (mainly her)
So that's the only thing we got planned. Life changes so if anything comes up we could go tomorrow and cross them things off our list but that's all our "plans" are.
I'm coming up to mid 40s for context
