I've always wondered this myself.

You'd think online activity would drop during the holidays, but I have some sites where the activity increases during the holidays.

Maybe it's just the niche since obviously shopping sites increase but for your sites what's the general trend during holidays?

B2B traffic act weird, but I wouldn't say that the traffic drops.
I think that traffic from more established companies is replaced with traffic from smaller business owners.

Just a hunch though.

On hobby blogs I haven't seen a difference, most of the audience is from Christian countries.

It kind of depends on each bit for how things work. I find my traffic kind of goes down by bit then rocket as well.

One of my site before did 100 traffic from December it went up to like 1000 to max 10,000 per day

I think that before the holidays, internet traffic usually goes up a bit because people are online more, especially due to Christmas present shopping, setting things up, and using new devices and then it gradually goes down again after New Year’s once things start returning to normal.

It really depend on your service. If you offer something that is really popular with being a gift around the holiday season, then you can expect sales to jump up around that time but go down when it’s not the holidays.

It’s like tax software and tax services. Businesses using them quarterly or throughout the year, but regular people will look into the more around tax season specifically.
