Driving Automatic Is the Norm in the USA and Some Other Countries - Is That for Real?

yeah, we have very strict class structure in aus on what type of cars u can drive
plus having MR or above is nice, hve zero restrictions on driving any vehicle really
unless its a those double long trucks

3. Invalid Carriage
4. Light Motor Vehicle (NT)
5. Transport Vehicles
6. Road Roller
7. Motor Vehicles of a specified description

We have
uh

RE is dirt bikes or those chinese motorcycles thingos
R is motorcycle
C is normal cars
LR small trucks
MR is normal trucks
HR is basically MR but heavier or slightly longer
HC is trucks over 8t GVM with a trailer of more than 9t GVM
MC is HC + multiple thngos attached

Usually, u go MR HC or MC if they are going above C
ppl skip LR and HR here

Every time we go to the States we hire a car and they're automatics, which I find easy to drive, as they're left hand drive.
Here in Spain, Soph has her RHD manual, mine is a left hand drive automatic. I personally hate LHD manuals, because after 40 years or so of driving, it's alien to me trying to change gear with the wrong hand.

On a serious note, it's all right-hand drive here in India. I guess it's kind of the national standard. I'd love to try a left-hand drive automatic someday, though.

I will never prefer automatic as manual is the way to go atleast for me plus there is so much confusion around which gearbox is good for automatic as I have heard horror stories of people getting hefty bills

If it's only city run then automatic makes sense but to each his own
