Ok so this is explained in the title.

I applied for this job to do smm for this small company. I had like 3 interviews and in the last one they said I was the best fit and they'd like to bring me on.

It pays well enough for here's my problem. During the interviews some of the people rubbed me the wrong way. The place just seemed really corporate and churn and burn like with their employees. It was the way they were talking doing that "we" and "us" shit. They even told me about how the team is a family (LOL?).

I've worked for places like this before and these places never go anywhere and then the managers blame the people under them for everything that goes wrong even though we're just following their instruction.

But the pay for this job is tempting. I don't know if I should just take it in the meantime and keep looking for a job or if I should just pass on the offer. Extra money if I take? I don't need it and can get by with what I make on my own already, but that extra money would help.

At the same time if I take it and they find out I'm still looking for a job, then I don't want to get fired and deal with that drama.

What do you guys think I should do?

The job sounds like shit. Take it and use the fuck out of them like they use their employees. Have another job lined up before they start micromanaging or whatever and tell them to fuck off.
This. Take the job, take the money, keep applying for jobs or looking for freelance clients. Don't stop applying only because you have a job. Have your LinkedIn set to 'casually looking for a job'.

Can you reach out to some of the other employees through linkedin? Ask for a phone number and call them for an "off the record" conversation.
You can also look at glassdoor.

For all you know, it could just be the HR being full of herself. She won't be the first.

Bro give people more than 5 seconds to respond.

Sorry I didn’t mean to rush. I’ll wait longer next time.

Will the current employer be able to see the LinkedIn status set to that? This seems like one of those places that checks your socials regularly and questions you on everything.

No not just the hr. I met the other team members and they all seemed that way. That’s why I’m worried.

If the extra money would help, take it, you don't need the job anyway so when you see you cannot keep up anymore .. just resign.

If you like the money, you will keep going until you no longer like it, just make sure you are doing a good job to match the salary you are taking and that's it.

Yeah, there is only one question you should ask yourself; Do I need the money or not? Based on the answer you get your answer on that job.

You applied for the job so I suspect you need one.

Take it.

You only had interviews people tend to act a bit more formally under them so give the company and the team a chance. You not even been there 5min yet...

Take the job, get some money in, build something in your own time. IF it doesn't work out then look around else where.

You might not be the right for them after 3 months but also them for you. That's part of the job process really.
