Have you ever lost a site after a core update?

Some of my mates have in the past seen their rankings just plummet and never recover from them. This was after those major updates everyone remembers like Panda and Penguin.

I was wondering if anyone else here ever just completely lost a site’s organic traffic after a major core update.

I’ve been hit every so often where core updates have given me issues. The last one I had was a bunch of pages being deindexed. It seems to have balanced out now, even though I’m not exactly sure as to what I did to fix it.
