I choked on my smoke reading this, honestly though if someone could round up a few good files and hook them into Antigravity or VSC; I'd actually be nearly useless

I can't be replaced because I make money from picking trash around the streets and no robot will be ever programmed to walk around the streets and pick up trash within 5 minutes after dropping it by someone else. :)

I stopped deluding myself that programming is a career worth pursuing. It's better to have no career than one you would hate. :)

What if we turbo the Roomba's and unleash them 😭

1. What's an .md file?
2. What's special about it?

A format enforced by github and programmers to write readme.md or documentation file.

It makes sense because... programmers generally don't use user interfaces. Which is why I don't like programming as a job, you create interfaces instead of using them and it's not that fun imo.

I guess I'm too stupid to understand you hotshot youngsters

Sorry

Sorry, I love acute and harsh humour. And odd ways to have fun. Had many problems from it in the past. :giggle:
No need to apologize mate

I've been doing it since 1982

I'm already replaced, the company I worked for has lost one of its major contracts. So cash flow is low, what did they decide to do. Let's not pay our employees for 3 months... !@#$

Over the last year and a half, my company has laid off about 10 people. Granted - we have 80 people in the office still, but it's a significant impact. At the moment, it's less to do with AI and more so to do with people simply aren't drinking wine the way they used to, so marketing/partnerships/offer propositions are becoming trickier, not to mention tariffs.

Recently, they have developed a "Project AI" group that is meeting every week. For the moment, the people involved have very little understanding when it comes to how easily you could implement AI and make a lot of roles redundant....for now. I think once they get that ball rolling it's going not going to be great for a lot of the lower level employees.
