I know all you 'cool kids' love TG, but Skype had this charm that is now forever lost.

Same here.

I thought Teams (which is way worse than what Skype initially was) would make things at least a bit better, but I was wrong.

Skype was great when I was allowed to use the mooning emote without any censorship.

Ever since Microsoft owned it it has been rubbish.
Same with everything they buy out.

Blizzard and Mojang are two good examples of that.

I wanted to say that but didn't think anyone would understand the reference lol

I liked Skype a lot before Bill gates done the usual buy something make suck like always.

What made it very useful most people had it so easy chat to people or do business on it I used to chat to a lot of Alibaba on the past using it was good place to buy stuff from Alibaba before.

I can't even download and install MS Teams because it doesn't like the OS version I'm currently running! Never had that problem with Skype.

That's the thing see they created some shit to compete with Zoom and what not but they already had the perfect tool. They should have spent time pushing Skype during COVID and things would have taken a very different turn. You could already share screens, video chat etc.

Just build out a Skype teams with ability to seat 20-30 people with similar zoom type functions but with the Skype edge on it and would have been golden.

Let's start a suggestion thread. 10 upvotes and Microsoft must comply!
