I just got back from the supermarket and it was absolutely heaving for a Friday night. Found out the government yesterday announced potential shortage of food and everdy supplies over the coming weeks due to the war.

Crazy, I kinda got bored of trying to keep up with it (and Trump constant and volatile tweeting) but thought we'd already seen the worst of it all?

Na, no-one is panicking here, life as usual.

100%

Uk said don't panic which means should panic yesterday.

We seen a surge last month 62% up on sales. This month close to +90% due to meida.

The panic stuff yesterday if you saw it @ggmopa was about co2 I think but cna imagine further knock on

Yikes. Picked wrong time to go away. Should be stocking up on Andrex 😅

In all seriousness, what are we supposed to be stocking up on here? You got me a bit concerned now lol

Hygiene is important.

Well food inflation is going to kick in now and VERY much later.

Even if anything went back to normal its still 6-9 months before things are real "normal" then you got to ask your self if a company got away with charging 50% more for something will they go back to normal.

UK island. Food is a good one its going up, will go up, you can protect against inflation and any issues same with hygiene shit.

It's one of them how long is a bit of string questions really.

Did you go to supermarket when covid was a thing at a start? Beside the Andrex what else was missing or even Brexit. Gives you a glimpse to what will happen. No one knows for sure I guess.

All I know is that gov and media said dont panic that means panic. Always do the opposite and prepare I think. Thats me tho.

Nothing special here

Nah. Actually locals are celebrating harvest, that's what their New Year is for. Ordered takeout yesterday and online grocers as well but told them to deliver groceries today. Maid comes tomorrow. So food partially stocked and we won't incubate new COVID strain here if everything goes well lol.
