Linkedin Linkedin removed some of my connections?

Has anyone had this happen? I checked my Linkedin profile today and I went from 400 connections to 353?

I've been trying to get that magic number of 500+ connections by just accepting everyone but these literally disappeared over night.

I'm not doing anything like buying connections so what's the deal? Did Linkedin do a sweep on my profile or did they just coincidentally delete a bunch of accounts that were all connected to me?

LinkedIn sometimes flags profiles that accept too many random connections or have low engagement quality. So maybe they did an automatic account sweep, which can sometimes happen.

Can you find whether the accounts you approved were banned or you're just no longer connected?

It's one of these, and one of the options has nothing to do with you.

Tbh really reminds me I shouldn't accept everyone who sends me a connection.
