I like to start the new year with free shit.

This year has to be the worst.

Is it a sign of the times or companies stopped doing free shit? No discount vouchers, no fee item with a purchase.

Just bullshit happy birthday emails.

This is funny, because one of the online birthdays I use is January 1st, 1980.

I sometimes use the right date and month, but change the year to something between 1980 to 2000.

1. End of year deal was better than their bday one so they just didn't send it.
2. The whole Honey fiasco caused brands to stop giving out personal coupons because Honey leaked everything to all of the users.

There is a trend in seeing less rewards to members / customers at the mo.

Even registered emails are seeing less discount offers or promotions for joining.

Nah I've been noticing this too. I used to get discounts or deals for birthdays, but I'm not getting them anymore.

Pretty sure everywhere is just getting cheaper. Went to a Mcdonalds today and they didn't even have free refills for soda fountain drinks. So cheap....
